compte de son implication dans des dossiers d\u00e9licats tant pour les Ha\u00eftiens que pour la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 qu\u00e9b\u00e9coise. \u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p class=\"font_9\"><span class=\"color_11\">D\u00e8s sa cr\u00e9ation, la Maison d\u2019Ha\u00efti a fait partie de l\u2019histoire du mouvement communautaire qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois. Elle a particip\u00e9 \u00e0 la mise en place de plusieurs regroupements et coalitions et a investi plusieurs dossiers importants, tant pour la communaut\u00e9 ha\u00eftienne et que pour l\u2019action communautaire qu\u00e9b\u00e9coise: alphab\u00e9tisation populaire, \u00e9ducation et int\u00e9gration sociale des gens issus des communaut\u00e9s culturelles, mouvement des femmes, acc\u00e8s au travail, politiques d\u2019\u00e9galit\u00e9, dynamiques familiales et insertion sociale des jeunes, sans oublier les luttes contre les formes de discrimination et de racisme qui repr\u00e9sentent l\u2019un de ses axes d\u2019intervention et de mobilisation.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"font_8\"><span class=\"color_11\">Nos valeurs<\/span><\/p><ul class=\"font_8 color_11 wix-list-text-align\"><li><p class=\"font_8\"><span class=\"color_11\">L\u2019approche citoyenne qui consiste \u00e0 miser sur la capacit\u00e9 des citoyens \u00e0 comprendre leur environnement, \u00e0 le ma\u00eetriser et \u00e0 proc\u00e9der collectivement \u00e0 des choix;<\/span><\/p><\/li><\/ul><ul class=\"font_8 color_11 wix-list-text-align\"><li><p class=\"font_9\"><span class=\"color_11\">La d\u00e9marche interculturelle qui suppose des citoyenNEs s\u2019organisant librement pour agir collectivement en fonction de leurs int\u00e9r\u00eats;<\/span><\/p><\/li><\/ul><ul class=\"font_8 color_11 wix-list-text-align\"><li><p class=\"font_8\"><span class=\"color_11\">La justice, l\u2019\u00e9quit\u00e9, l\u2019\u00e9galit\u00e9 des chances, le respect des droits, l\u2019inclusion et la participation citoyenne qui constituent les boussoles qui ont guid\u00e9 notre trajectoire historique.<\/span><\/p><\/li><\/ul><p class=\"font_8\">\u00a0<\/p><p class=\"font_8\"><span class=\"color_11\">Notre approche<\/span><\/p><p class=\"font_8\"><span class=\"color_11\">\u00ab Accompagner pour rendre autonome \u00bb, tel est le cadre d\u2019action de la Maison d\u2019Ha\u00efti, travers\u00e9 par une \u00e9thique qui repose sur l\u2019id\u00e9e du citoyen comme personne autonome capable de critique et de changement. Notre action repose \u00e9galement sur une intervention centr\u00e9e sur l\u2019humain inscrit dans sa soci\u00e9t\u00e9 d\u2019appartenance. Que ce soit sous la forme d\u2019accompagnement ou sous celle de l\u2019engagement sociopolitique, l\u2019\u00e9thique du citoyen est ce qui fait notre force, la constance et la coh\u00e9rence de nos interventions depuis notre \u00e9mergence.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"font_9\"><span class=\"color_11\">R\u00e9f\u00e9rence tant pour la communaut\u00e9 ha\u00eftienne que pour la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 qu\u00e9b\u00e9coise, la Maison d\u2019Ha\u00efti est sensible \u00e0 toutes les nuances et complexit\u00e9s d\u2019une communaut\u00e9 qui depuis 70 ans fait tranquillement son nid au Qu\u00e9bec. \u00c0 la fois ancienne et r\u00e9cente, les nouveaux immigrants ha\u00eftiens continuent d\u2019arriver alors que la troisi\u00e8me g\u00e9n\u00e9ration se manifeste dans toutes les sph\u00e8res de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9.<\/span><\/p><p>L\u2019inclusion sociale de ces g\u00e9n\u00e9rations de Qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois d\u2019origine ha\u00eftienne et des populations fragilis\u00e9es du quartier est au c\u0153ur de ses pr\u00e9occupations. La Maison d\u2019Ha\u00efti continuera \u00e0 r\u00e9clamer une place dans le paysage culturel qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois pour que se d\u00e9veloppe enfin et de plein droit une culture m\u00e9tiss\u00e9e qui pr\u00e9sente un projet d\u2019\u00e9t\u00e9 au Centre d\u2019emploi du Canada. Une modeste subvention leur est accord\u00e9e afin d\u2019offrir des services d\u2019accueil, d\u2019accompagnement, d\u2019interpr\u00e9tation et d\u2019aide \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tablissement destin\u00e9e \u00e0 une population ha\u00eftienne fra\u00eechement d\u00e9barqu\u00e9e \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al. Ces jeunes visionnaires s\u2019installent dans un petit bureau du YMCA de l\u2019avenue du Parc d\u2019o\u00f9 ils donnent naissance \u00e0 la Maison d\u2019Ha\u00efti. L\u2019ann\u00e9e suivante Charles Dehoux, Nirva Cass\u00e9us et Pierre Normil deviennent les trois signataires de la corporation que nous connaissons d\u00e9sormais sous le nom de Maison d&rsquo;Ha\u00efti.<\/span><\/p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0px; background: transparent; pointer-events: auto; font-style: normal; font-weight: 400; font-size: 15px; line-height: 1.875em; color: rgb(var(--color_15)); text-align: center;\">\u00a0<\/p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0px; background: transparent; pointer-events: auto; font-style: normal; font-weight: 400; font-size: 15px; line-height: 1.875em; color: rgb(var(--color_15)); text-align: center;\"><span style=\"background: transparent; color: rgb(var(--color_11));\">1983\u00a0: le quartier Saint-Michel devient son port d\u2019attache, une forte population d\u2019origine ha\u00eftienne ayant choisi de s\u2019y installer. Ce quartier poussi\u00e9reux, sillonn\u00e9 par les incessants va et vient des camions \u00e0 ordures de Montr\u00e9al, se transformera peu \u00e0 peu gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l\u2019implication des nombreuses familles et au travail des organisations communautaires qui s\u2019y installent. Finalement, un grand chantier de revitalisation auquel la Maison d&rsquo;Ha\u00efti participe activement changera pour de bon son avenir. Aujourd\u2019hui, l\u2019organisme accueille des familles originaires de tous les coins de la plan\u00e8te venues chercher asile et avenir dans ce quartier bless\u00e9, \u00e9ventr\u00e9, qui les accueille cependant avec g\u00e9n\u00e9rosit\u00e9.<\/span><\/p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0px; background: transparent; pointer-events: auto; font-style: normal; font-weight: 400; font-size: 15px; line-height: 1.875em; color: rgb(var(--color_15)); text-align: center;\">\u00a0<\/p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0px; background: transparent; pointer-events: auto; font-style: normal; font-weight: 400; font-size: 15px; line-height: 1.875em; color: rgb(var(--color_15)); text-align: center;\"><span style=\"background: transparent; color: rgb(var(--color_11));\">Parmi les personnes qui ont marqu\u00e9 la Maison d&rsquo;Ha\u00efti en l\u2019empreignant des valeurs de d\u00e9mocratie, de solidarit\u00e9, d\u2019ouverture et de partage qu\u2019elle a fait siennes, il nous faut mentionner Ernst Gresseau, Max Chancy et Adeline Magloire Chancy. Accompagn\u00e9s d\u2019une \u00e9quipe de jeunes militants tout aussi allum\u00e9s, ils ont litt\u00e9ralement forg\u00e9 l\u2019ADN de l\u2019organisme dont seront porteuses, esp\u00e9rons-le, les g\u00e9n\u00e9rations futures.
