Marjorie Villefranche, directrice g\u00e9n\u00e9rale de la Maison d\u2019Ha\u00efti, a re\u00e7u ce 30 avril, la m\u00e9daille d\u2019honneur de l\u2019Assembl\u00e9e Nationale du Qu\u00e9bec.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Figure de l\u2019implication sociale et voix forte de l\u2019appel \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9galit\u00e9, Marjorie Villefranche se d\u00e9voue depuis plus de 40 ans pour faciliter l\u2019int\u00e9gration et la participation citoyenne des personnes immigrantes. D\u2019abord b\u00e9n\u00e9vole, puis employ\u00e9e pour la Maison d\u2019Ha\u00efti, elle en est la directrice g\u00e9n\u00e9rale depuis 2011. La Maison d\u2019Ha\u00efti, fond\u00e9e en 1972 pour soutenir la communaut\u00e9 ha\u00eftienne, accompagne aujourd\u2019hui des personnes de toutes origines, notamment les personnes ha\u00eftiennes et afro descendantes et les nouveaux arrivants et arrivantes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
R\u00e9put\u00e9e pour ses discours f\u00e9ministes et inclusifs, Marjorie Villefranche participe activement \u00e0 la construction d\u2019une soci\u00e9t\u00e9 exempte de discrimination et de pr\u00e9jug\u00e9s, dont les membres sont toutes et tous \u00e9gales et \u00e9gaux.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
